The MSVV Alumni Golf Tournament is in its second year and its that time of year again where golfers, all, hackers or sharks will be busy wiping their grips and ‘wearing in’ their gloves to get out and do battle once more. It’s the stuff of which traditions are born and you and I stand to be the ones who create them.

As you are aware your four year old association has been conducting events and activities for the Alumni on a regular basis. These are the Modernite’s Ball , the Golf tournament and also the Alumni Vs. MSVV Sports matches, the trophy for which incidentally was won by the alumni who defeated the school team. It is with your participation and your love for your alma mater that we have been able to make these events a success and we know that more and more alumni will become actively involved in the association and we will go from strength to strength as we have done up to this moment.

The 2nd MSVV Alumni Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, the 11th of November 2006 at the Golden Greens Golf Resort in Gurgaon. The venue remains the same as the course, as always, is playing wonderfully well at this time and has the right mix of challenging as well as forgiving fairways and greens ensuring a satisfying round for all levels of golfers. Far away from the sounds of traffic and the smoke and dust of the city the Golden Greens offer a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere which allows for a wonderful day on the course. Add to this the back and forth banter of the Alumni and we have the makings for a great day in the sun with old friends and golf. Dare I say it doesn’t get any better than this.
The details for the tournament are as follows:

Venue : Golden Greens, Gurgaon

Date : Saturday the 11th of November, 2006

Time : Registration at 1200 hrs – T off at 1300

Refreshments and prize ceremony 1800-1900 hrs
All players are requested to stay till the end of the prize ceremony.

Format : Hidden holes based on handicap for the day.

Prizes : Best Player ( Gross Score ) / Best Gentleman golfer / Best Lady Golfer / Long Drive / Closest to Pin / Best Bunker shot etc.

Contributory charges : Rs.1500 per golfer.
