Red Hat and Tally will be working jointly
to make Tally, a popular accounting software
package available on Red Hat Enterprise
Linux, according to an announcement made
by Red Hat today.
According to the company, since Linux
is less vulnerable to viruses, users'
data would be more secure. This is in
addition to the traditional benefits of
performance, manageability and lower total
cost of ownership.
Speaking on the occasion Matthew Szulik,
CEO - Red Hat, said, "Tally is the
most widely used business solutions software
in India. This is a defining milestone
in desktop computing and will definitely
change the way Indian SMEs consume technology."
He further added, "Application availability
on the enterprise Linux platform will
be the next driving force for Linux adoption."
The Red Hat-Tally bundle will be available
through the partner ecosystems of both
companies. Both companies will work together
to train their respective partners on
the new technology. The companies will
also jointly promote a support center
to address the support requirements. |
